Psychic Dictionary

Clairvoyance: The ability to see in visions, or pictures. Seeing in the minds eye.

Clairaudience: The ability to hear in ways that are outside the realm of understanding. To hear in the mind. To hear a voice To possibly hear a spirit guide. Or, an angel.

Clairsentience: To feel or to know. To be empathic. This is also known as physically feeling, smelling, or having taste of something that is not there. To sense the surrounding's of someone else.

Medium: Someone who speaks to the dead.

Channeler: Someone who allows a spirit or ghost to talk thru them.

Ghost: Someone who has passed, but has not left this earth, and is still roaming around.

Spirit: Those that have passed, have gone to the spirit world, and can go between this realm and the spiritual one.

Doppelganger: A ghostly double of a living person, especially one that haunts its fleshly counterpart.

Spirit Guide: A spirit that resides in the spirit world that watches and advises us humans. A spirit guide has had at least one incarnation on earth. Some believe all that this is, is our higher self.

Earth Bound: A spirit that is currently living in a body here on earth.

Psychic: A person who has the ability to decipher messages given to them through intuition, or tools. (ie. tarot, iching, runes...etc)

A psychic's job is to guide someone in their search for happiness. A psychic cannot predict the future, nor can a psychic make a decision for you.

Tarot: Tarot is a deck of 78 cards with archetypal pictures on them, that helps a psychic reader to decipher messages given to them through intuition.

I CHING:A Chinese book of ancient origin consisting of 64 interrelated hexagrams along with commentaries. The hexagrams embody Taoist philosophy by describing all nature and human endeavor in terms of the interaction of yin and yang, and the book may be consulted as an oracle.

Runes: The Runes are a very strong spiritual tool used today for some in Galdr, which is a form of singing the Runes. They are also they used for healing. They can also be used for intuition, or psychic messages.
Dowsing: Using dowsing rods to either get information or to find a missing object.

Numerology: The study of the meanings of numbers and their influence on human life. People can add up the numbers in their name to tell them about themselves.

Astrology: The study of the positions and aspects of celestial bodies in the belief that they have an influence on the course of natural earthly occurrences and human affairs. Horoscopes are based on astrology.

Scrying: The use of either a crystal ball or scrying mirror to see images about the querant's life.
Psychometry: Touching something of someone else's to get a psychic impression from it.

Tea Leaf/Coffee Ground Reading: The divining of looking at the bottom of a coffee/tea cup to see pictures, which are symbolic and bring about intuitive messages.

Yoga Sanskrit for yoke or union. An Eastern philosophy involving spiritual discipline using various techniques to experience union with a Supreme Being.
